Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are a vision correcting option for many people, whether they are farsighted, nearsighted, have astigmatism, or have the need for bifocals. Contact lenses are considered by the FDA to be medical devices with a prescription expiration of no more than one year. At Village Optical we fit multiple varieties of contact lenses, including soft or rigid gas permeables (RGPs)

The doctors at each of our locations stock contacts from many different manufacturers, so oftentimes, patients are able to leave the office the day of their appointment with a trial pair of lenses. Some of the types of contact lenses our doctors fit, depending on a patient’s individual needs are:

1. Daily disposables
2. 2 week or monthly disposables
3. Extended Wear (Some lenses can be slept in for up to 30 days)
4. Astigmatism correcting lenses
5. Bifocal contact lenses
6. Colored contact lenses
